Imagine the despair of not knowing where your family is, or even if they’re still alive. That’s the real-life nightmare for the families of over 100,000 missing Syrians, including more than 3,000 children. The regime took most of them and ISIS many others.

Now Russia is trying to help Assad get away with it.

But the families of the disappeared are fighting back. They’ve called for a new United Nations body to find the truth about Syria's disappeared and help them find their loved ones. A make-or-break vote is in days, and Russia is trying to polarize the world to defeat it.
