Correct the Record now!
The photo says it all -- Rohingya muslims chopping up human bodies, ready to eat.

People bought the story and it spread like wildfire -- justifying the awful atrocities that were *actually* happening -- Rohingya families slaughtered in Myanmar, women brutally raped, homes torched to the ground.

Tons of fake stories like this fanned the flames of genocide against the Rohingya. But it’s happening everywhere, to everyone. Fake news is manipulating us, manipulating our democracies. And it’s mostly happening in one key place: Facebook.

But there’s a simple solution: correct the record. This means Facebook works with independent fact-checkers, and when a story is flagged as fake, they alert the people who saw that story and provide a correction.

It’s pretty simple, and Avaaz has floated it by decision-makers across the globe, and there’s excitement. But what’s missing is public demand to make it happen. That’s where we come in! Add your name and when we hit one million, Avaaz will pull out all the stops until Zuckerberg responds.
